Abstract
The present study contains the following sections: the first, it brings the mission of shepherds in ancient times, the second part deals with the biblical aspects of Gods poimenic activities in the Old Testament and the last, third part contains pastoral attributes of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, finally it notices vocation of the apostle Peter to pastoral ministry.
