Abstract

The aim of this work is to present methods for determination of arsenic by hydride generation (HG) and detection by atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS). First part is dedicated to speciation analysis by high performance liquid chromatography and postcolumn HG-AFS.

Second part is dedicated to identification of volatile products of methylated arsenic species (methylarsonate, dimethylarsinate, and trimethylarsane oxide). It was found that the structure of resulting arsanes strongly depended on the concentration and type of acid.

Third part is dedicated to possibility of isolation of arsenosugars from algae and their HG activity.
