Abstract

The author discusses Lupold von Bebenburg (about 1297-1363) works. He especcialy focuses on Bebenburg's imperial writings, parti-cularly his famous Tractatus de iuribus Regni et Imperii from 1340.

The author analyzes this treatise in detail in its historical context and points out Bebenburg's goal of improving the constitutional foundation of the imperial issue. This matter is also apparent in the fa-mous Golden Bull of Charles IV from 1356, and Bebenburg is rightly considered one of the spiritual fathers of the Golden Bull.
