Abstract
Within the reform of psychiatry care in the Czech Republic were created by a group of experts, the standards for acute care departments. These specialized departments in general hospital settings provide diagnostic methods, treat ment, nursing care and liason psychiatry in the full spectrum of diagnostic field, providing care, education and ensure continuity of social care.
