Abstract
The publication is dedicated to a very current topic of child neglect as a form of CAN syndrome (Child Abuse and Neglect). The concept is based on a modern approach to social and legal protection of children and emphasizes an approach that combines functional way theories of psychology, law, social work and other areas, thus creating the basis for transparent procedures for the evaluation of child neglect and evidence-based practices in specific interventions.
The publication is intended for all professionals who broadest issues of social and legal protection of children involved - social workers, psychologists, legal profession (lawyers, prosecutors and judges), doctors and educators. Basically all who come with children in professional life into contact should be interested in this issue.
