Abstrakt
Soukupová analysed the atmosphere in Czech society after the so-called Velvet Revolution (1989), when the question of an independent Slovak state was raised. The text rejects the myth of an escalation in national consciousness and nationalism at the time as a result of frozen national interests by the Communist regime.
