"Power of the Powerless" as a political challenge and an analytical device

Abstract

Essay argues that the Václav Havel's Power of Powwerless needs to be seen as an open-ended work operating in two basic directions - as a call to confront an undemocratic regime and as stockpile of terms and concept suitable for thinking about the essence and operation of that regime.
