Abstract
It is commonly said that in the Middle Ages life was quite difficult, much more so than in ours. One of the reasons for that is definitely that torture and death penalties were quite common practices in those times, with people creating sophisticated ways to cause pain and kill people.
In this article I would like to talk about laws and courts in Bohemia, then about torture and in the end I will describe some types of executions, providing some examples from the region of Bohemia.
