The present invention relates to a method of measuring at least one viscoelastic parameter of a viscoelastic body, particularly measuring complex Young's modulus of elasticity and/or complex rigidity of a viscoelastic body. The measuring method is characterized in that the viscoelastic body being measured is connected with a mechanical oscillator, wherein said mechanical oscillator is attached to the body being measured from above and both the body being measures and the mechanical oscillator are fastened on a stationary frame.
Then, energy is applied to such performed system and the own damped oscillations, using for the determination of a required viscoelastic parameter, of the system are sensed. In the present invention, there is further described an apparatus for making the above indicated method, wherein the apparatus comprises a stationary frame, a mechanical oscillator consisting of a spring and an inertial element, preferably arranged in exchangeable manner, means for fixing the mechanical oscillator spring to the stationary frame arranged in upper section of the frame and means for fixing the measured viscoelastic body to the stationary frame.
