The transformation of the burgher elite of Slaný, brought about by the economic, social and political pressure form Count Jaroslav Bořita of Martinice, led to the loss of local collective memory and identity. The common burghers of Slaný were not able to preserve those values without the leadership of the old elite.
In order to become established in the new social systém of Slaný, they began to change their minds and switched loyalty to the Catoholic faith and their new master. Tle adoption of the new values led to the complete change of their memory, which conformed to the identity presented by Jaroslav Bořita of Martinice.
