Abstract
The chapter explains current options for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. First, the basic terms related to memory and classification of cognitive disorders are defined.
Following epidemiology of Alzheimer's disease clinical symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and diagnosis are described. Auxiliary examination methods are discussed in detail.
Finally, a novel therapeutic option as a clinical trial using vaccination using tau protein is mentioned.
