Abstract
The monograph presents a comprehensive picture of the current gerontology. This publication contains examples of selected gerontological approaches and current issues in the Czech Republic.
Many chapters are based on our own exploration of the authors, book and transmits knowledge gained from research into practice and theory of the field without much delay. Authors newly reflect traditional themes and adds a new area of interest, such as environmental gerontology, kinesiology, computer equipment, design of modern technology needs of seniors, neuropsychological diagnostics.
Publications allows interactions between different disciplines field, providing space for lighting specific view of the individual sub-disciplines on a common theme, and provides explanations of complex phenomena linked to human aging in contemporary society.
