Abstrakt
We are a team of experts attached to a sexology psychotherapeutic department at Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital who administer court ordered protective treatment to men who committed serious sexual offenses. They have been diagnosed as suffering from paraphilia, i.e. sexual deviation.
The average duration of the treatment provided in our department is about 2 years. The sexology pavilion at the hospital opened its doors 31 years ago and has treated approximately 400 patients since then.
Our therapeutic system is based on three pillars: biological therapy, community regime social therapy, and group psychotherapy.
