Abstract
The aim of this article is to remind one of the most important personality of Czech modern nursing Marta Stankova, PhD (1938-2003). She dedicated her entire life to the nursing profession and education in its field.
She pushed many desirable changes in education of nurses and is also the author of numerous studying materials and monographs. She was also the first habilitated Czech nurse ever.
