The first search was targeted strictly on nutritional support/status in gynaecological cancer. Only one study was published during the selected period.
This phase III multi-centre randomised clinical trial by Baker et al. focused on difference quality of life (QoL) after early enteral feeding versus standard postoperative diet as tolerated in patients with advanced ovarian cancer. Authors conclude that there is no significant improvement in QoL in comparison early enteral feeding versus stan- dard care but early intervention may improve nutritional status.
