The study summarizes the current situation in Czech pre-school education, highlights the factors that are reflected and play a significant role in involving parents in the life of kindergarten. The first part of the paper presents the results of selected resear - ches focusing on family and school relations especially in the Czech environment.
The second part analyzes the conditions for setting up cooperation in basic curricular and legislative documents and presents possibilities how to develop this cooperation and the relationship between teachers and parents. The third part presents partial results of the case study of kindergarten.
The aim of the research is to analyze the determinants of effective co-operation of parents of preschool children and nursery schools with a focus on parental roles.
