Abstract
The study is a loose sequel to a contribution to the symposium on the topic "Identity of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church" organised in cooperation with the CHC. This contribution was published in the Theological Review (4/15) with the title "Structure of Identity of the CHC".
The present study strives to point out that a number of problems and dangers are related to the search for identity and its formation, and it also discusses the possibilities of those churches that are able to efficiently connect the universality of the Biblical message to the realisation of the Gospel in specific national and cultural contexts.
