The theme of this diploma thesis is based on recommended procedures for urgent resuscitation of the European Resuscitation Council in 2015. An important step in these procedures is the early Use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) instructed by a layman.
The AED is part of the Integrated Rescue System (IZS) components (fire brigade, volunteer fire brigade, state And city policemen). Their training is dealt with by the Emergency Service.
The aim of the research was to find out whether the concept of training in the issue of cardiopulmonary resuscitation using AED for the IRS is sufficient. Quantitative research using an anonymous and voluntary questionnaire survey Sample of 104 IRS members.
The research was approved by the relevant executives contacted by the IRS in the chosen location. Respondents in more than 90% correctly described the process of apprehension and respiration of the victim and follow-up steps including heart massage; The use of AED even in children, where Differences were found between the different occupational groups.
From the results, it appears that half of respondents have already experienced resuscitation. Training in resuscitation using AED Was comprehensible to 96% of respondents, 40% would welcome the extension of the practical part of the training.
Respondents consider training at one-year intervals to be sufficient at 60%; but 36% would welcome more training. The outcomes of this work should serve to modify the training curriculum organized by the Rescue Service for the members of the Integrated Rescue System.
