Practical courses are one of the tools educators can use to increase pupils' attitudes toward science and their motivation to study science. In this study, pupils' motivation to study biology was measured before and six weeks after three different practical courses.
The motivation of the pupils from control group did not change in time but the motivation of pupils who took part in a practical course increased. The accrument of motivation of pupils after dissection was signifi cant.
It has been shown that invertebrate dissections can motivate pupils toward studying biology.
