Theosis in the Thought of Athanasius of Alexandria and Vladimir Lossky

Abstract

The article offers an analysis of theosis, or deification, in Athanasius of Alexandria and Vladimir Lossky. It seeks to examine both theologians within their historical contexts and discusses those areas in which their treatment of theosis may contribute to the Evangelical tradition.
