The third part of the series of papers examining the influence of classical language instruction on personal development focuses on the impact of studying Latin (and Greek) on the formation of those basic components of a personality which are not, according to psychologists, innate and which might be changed during life, i.e. abilities and character. List of eight abilities which development might be supported by classical languages and a description of this process is an outcome of the research and examination of relevant sources.
The second part of the paper shows which elements of classical studies might contribute to cultivation and reinforcement of a character.
