Abstract
Islam in today's debates is attributed to numerous features - to be backward, misogynistic, incompatible with "Western values", unreformable, violent, aggressive, true Islam would directly lead to terrorism and so on. The text critically analyzes the essentializing image of Islam in Czech debates.
