Article deals with liability issues, arising from transport of radioactive waste under the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage of 1963, which currently establish basic nuclear liability principles in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. In particular, the authors are dealing with the issues of defining the subject liable for damages in cases of domestic and inter-state transport of radioactive waste.
Further, they also point out several problems, arising from the lack of worldwide liability regime for nuclear liability in regard of international transport, in particular with regard to liability issues arising from inter-state transport of radioactive waste.
