Why can't we fix the "moment" of the sublime as an (archi-)event? : The archeology of the phenomenological subject according to M. Richir and R.Barbaras

Abstract

The paper thematizes the most archaic layers of the subjectivity in the work of two contemporary phenomenologists, M. Richir and R.

Barbaras. After a confrontation of their notions of "moment" of the sublime and archi-event, we might conclude that, from a systematic perspective, Richir's criticism of the notion of event is justified.
