Abstract
The issues analysed and interpreted in the workshop in fact fundamentally touch ambivalent poles of the contemporary social development of the world, i.e.: globalization trends (including the emergence of new forms of linguistic communication - in their context including trends and linguistic assimilation and preservation efforts, i.e. revitalization of small ethno-linguistic communities in the Czech-German environment. The lecture also deals with the analysis of the Czech-German relations in the context of bilingual education in the Czech Republic and German-speaking countries.
