The main goal of the paper is to analyse 1) whether the adjectives co-occurring with the lexeme muž 'man' and žena 'woman' tend to conform to the stereotypical feminine (e.g. fragile) or masculine characteristic (e.g. strong) in Czech and 2) to validate the hypothesis that certain adjectives are used only with one of the lexemes and that there is a group of adjectives used regardless of sex. We plan to compare also common and uncommon adjectives for both sexes.
These complex analyses ought to show us whether the perception of men and women is still strongly stereotypical.
