Abstrakt
The text is the review of the book "Za Boha, národ, pořádek" by the Czech historian Jaroslav Šebek. The monograph focuses on the presence of anti-democratic and nationalist trends in the environment of the Czech and Sudet-German Catholicism in the interwar Czechoslovakia.
The author deals with the issue from the larger European perspective. The book also contributed to the Czech-German relations, the Church History and the Czech-Vatican relations in the interwar period.
Using of many sources of the Czech, German, Austrian and Vatican provenance is also valuable. Some materials from the Vatican Archives were published there for the first time in the Czech historiography.
The book doesn't lack criticism and it is attractive for readers too.
