Abstract
In Novem ber 20 7 6 the new Czech ČSN P 73 7 005 for Ground lnvestigation Standard was pub/ished. The pa per briefly presents the new standard set-up, the main chapters intensions and also its significance for engineering geo/ogyand geotechnical engineering.
The new standard comp/etes the Eurocode No.7 and newly emphasizes the geotechnica/ risk importance and that is why the artic/e deals with these issues as well.
