Abstract
Second extended edition of the scientific monograph deals with old age and the aging process in biological, psychological and social terms. It analyses selected determinants, which influence aging and personality changes.
It summarizes knowledge about prevention and activising and looks into factors that influence life quality of seniors. It offers an interdisciplinary approach to the topic and draws on research carried out by the author and on a comparison of selected demographic, economic, andragogical, social and biological indicators.
