Abstract
The resource access control, especially that of energy resources, is a key condition of resistance and security. The EU countries depend on imports of energy resources by 70 %.
Dominant types of energy reserves are situated in politically unstable regions. Economic, social and politic security of the region is a result of geo-strategic and geo-economic moves on energy chessboard with interference of players interests from different positions.
The "chessmen" are the EU countries as net importers and states exporting energy resources to Europe.
