The article focuses on the comparison of the impact of Nietzsche's philosophy between Slovenian and Czech literature from the first half of the twentieth century in the case of two authors: Ladislav Klíma and Vladimir Bartol. In both we can see a strong influence of the wider European current of Nietzsche's ideas, which the article analyzes and highlights on their more recognizable literary works: The Suffering of Prince Sternenhoch (Klíma) and Alamut, Al Araf (Bartol).
In them especially we can recognize some of the fundamental ideas of Nietzsche, while being able to draw many parallels between the works, whatever the respective of geographical and temporal diversity. At the same time the article also examines fundamental differences between the selected works and tries to determine why the works of these two authors' of different Slavic literatures are important also fort he present time.
