The article shows the specific historical situation - the managemet of the Chelčice Socialist Co-operative Farm in the period of "normalization" (1968-1974). The persistent "reform-promarket" management policy of the Chelčice JZD puts into a more general context of the beginnings of "normalization" in the countryside.
In its conclusions the contribution supports the thesis that in agriculture and in the countryside the onset of "normalization" was far slower than elsewhere and its implementation was not so thoroughly implemented by the central authorities.
