Abstrakt
Based on interpreting important lines of thought in contemporary Catholic economic ethics, the paper examines different approaches to overcoming the deficiency of economic rationality in the sphere of morality and the moral deficiency in the sphere of market economy. In the second part, it focuses on the key question of whether and in what form economic ethics is possible in contemporary global economic practice and how Catholic social thinking and tradition can specifically contribute to it.
