Abstract
The publication, in a clear, comprehensible, brief and yet non-simplistic way, carries readers through more than two centuries of sociology. From the very beginnings, when sociology was struggeling for a place in the world of sciences, to a varied tray of topics, authors and perspectives, already as a well-established scientific discipline at the beginning of the 21st century.
