Abstract
This paper presents the results of an analysis of contemporary literary texts and television production in terms of the use of slang vocabulary focusing on the age group of young adults. As an example of contemporary slang in this age group the novel "Duty Free" by Dmitry Pastushok and television series "Realnye pacany" were selected.
