Abstract

The publication is discussed as an overview of the results of research work in nursing in the last 45 years. The results of studies focusing on psychosocial issues in nursing are presented.

The reader will get an overview of the psychological assumptions for nursing work and the issue of adaptation to the sophistication of the sister profession. The author's attention is also focused on social interaction and the ability to actively practice professional behavior.

From the information obtained, it can also be deduced how the admission procedure should take place in nursing study programs so that the students become successful nurses who will perform their work life-long. Literature focused on psychosocial issues in nursing is very modest, many of the results reported in this professional-popular publication are original and never published.
