Abstract
The book gives an overview of current views on the geology of the Krkonoše-Jizera Crystallline Unit, Krkonoše-Piedmont and Mnichovo Hradiště permo-carboniferous Basins, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin and neovolcanics scattered in the western part of the Bohemian Paradise and adjacent crystalline basement units. The twelve locallities are than described in detaill for the purpose of presenting geological processes and phenomena in the field of excursions for students tor to the general public.
Excursion guide provides a brief summary of the geological development of this part of the Bohemian Massif from Proterozoic to Quaternary.
