The article deals with the connections between the Prague printer Michael Peterle (1537-1588) and the Saxon writer Johann Habermann (1516-1590). Since 1578 Peterle has published the Vita Christi by Habermann in German, Czech and partly in Latin.
Interesting is the accompanying Mannerist cycle of illustrations - the article offers the conclusions from his analysis. Peterle also published "Christlichen Jungfrauen Ehrenkräntzlein" written by another Lutheran priest - Lucas Martini.
This book is also briefly introduced in the article.
