Statistical methods for evaluation of spectral data and their relationship to indicators of vegetation state

Abstract

This chapter shortly describes some methods for spectra comparison and also describes spectra transformation (continuum removal, derivation). Regression methods (simple regression, multiple stepwise regression, PLSR) used for empirical modelling of relations betwwen optical properties and biochemical or biophysical parameters of vegetation are explained.
