Societas leonina and its place in the modern business law

Abstract

Societas leonina, i.e. company where one of the shareholders does not participate on the company's profit, is product of the Roman law. However, the concept has been partially used by modern law of companies as well.

The article deals with the question to which extent is this usage appropriate.
