The aim of the thesis is to analyze the role of art in the thinking of some representatives of Russian avant-garde and to focus on the conception of the concept of understanding art as an instrument of transformation of reality in the thought directions of the temporal avant-garde preceding and in the historical context of the period after its end. The text will therefore focus primarily on the hypertrophied role attributed to art in the thinking of some representatives of Russian avant-garde and will examine its possible outcome in the Stalinist project.
The aim of the thesis is also the critique of the prevailing view of Russian avant-garde as a purely aesthetic phenomenon, isolated from the political events of its time, as well as its perception as a phenomenon separated from the events before its inception and from what replaced it after the discontinuity of its activities representatives.
