The block spacing and set position of participants during the indoor Championship of Czech republic (2012, 2013) is analyzed in this study. Investigated parameter highly affect technique and effectiveness of block clearance, acceleration and can greatly influence the outcome of the race.
The subjects were 44 participants of 200 and 400 m sprint. Biomechanical video analyses using computer program Dartfish and Kinovea.
The results of study were compared which foreign studies. Block spacing and set position of Czech athletes is differ from the recommended parameters.
Interblock distance especially is shorter and that affect set position. The characteristic angles for the set position of Czech athletes are lower than recommended parameters.
Czech athletes should have more extend inter-block distance and adjust set position by the result of this study. The knee angle of the front and rear leg should by more extend.
The COM should be move more forward and upward according to recommended parameters.
