Multiple sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease which affects central nervous systém. Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is one of the important drugs in the arsenal for treating relapsing-remitting type of multiple sclerosis.
DMF was shown to have antiinflammatory and cytoprotective properties and to result in significant reductions in disease activity. We report one case from our own patients base demonstrating possible use of DMF for treatment escalation.
