Abstract
The author gives an overview of the history of teaching Czech for foreigners, especially in Prague, from the Middle Ages to the present. It focuses on university education at ČVUT and UK.
It also mentions the history of Czech Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies and focuses on LŠSS in Prague and Brno. The article was created on the occasion of the round jubilee of the LŠSS in Brno.
