Abstract
The author describes in detail the sixty-year history of the Prague Summer School of Slavonic Studies. Not only the history of this event, but also the personalities created by LSSS (Prof.
J. Bělič, Prof.
J. Kuklík and others), also mentions important participants of LSSS, and also notes the significance of this institution for the development of domestic, but above all foreign Czech sciences.
