Abstract
Jan z Puchova is well known as a writer and mainly as an initiator and a publisher of The Czech Cosmography (Prague, Jan Kosořský 1554). However we don't know much about his personal life.
The article specifies a time horizon of his work activities: he died approximately in 1556, not after 1595 as supposed earlier.
