Lustration laws and their legal, political and historical context

Abstract

The topic of this thesis is the issue of lustration as means of dealing with communistic past in Czechoslovakia after 1989. The thesis considers lustration laws in view of their importance of their adoption and evaluates their consequences.

Since various forms of lustration laws were adopted in other countries of the Eastern Bloc, the thesis is comparing them as well.
