Abstract
There is short summary of modern Polish history provided in a first part of the paper. Such description is necessary as a context for current political development in Poland.
Constitutional Court crisis accompanied by other serious political changes infringing particular elements of liberal democracy represent a state of Polish political scene. The aim of this essay is to describe the roots of today's state as well as to analyse them.
