Abstrakt
Contribution is focused on Oxus treasure phenomenon and problems connected with it's research. It summarizes information from travellers and scholars and tries to present origin of the treasure hoard, which was found in Tacht-i Sangin in Tadzhikistan according to Soviet scholars.
On the contrary British scholars say, that the Oxus treasure comes from another site called Tacht-i Kuwad. Unfortunatelly, it is imposible to certainly determine it's origin.
Many objects were bought on asian markets and later added to the treasure. Therefore we cannot diferenciate forgeries and originals.
