Among linguists and teachers there is a lively interest in phraseology that is still a relatively young branch of linguistics. However, the didactic application of proverbs, is still a rather neglected area, especially in the field of Czech as a foreign language teaching.

In this paper, the design of tasks and exercises of proverbs is taken up.
